Round 6 | Autódromo José Carlos Pace
Official Race Results & Telemetry
Balazs Erdelyi sealed the inaugural Crown Racing Series title after a highly dramatic season finale at Interlagos. Erdelyi, who started race day 20 points adrift of championship leader Nicolai Pedersen, who didn’t start in Brazil, looked to be out of contention after crashing out in wet conditions. But the Hungarian rallied and on the last lap with the bonus points for fastest lap secured, he muscled his way past Kodi Cosford for sixth, snatching the title by just one point. It was also a good season finale for David Bozga, who ended a tricky campaign with a dominant victory from Luciano Witvoet and Mihai Neg.

FLEd's Pit Wall Note
The moment which potentially ended Erdelyi’s title came around Lap 18 when he and Gregory Hovesen tried to brave it out on slicks during the worst of the wet conditions. The damage done in the accident, coupled with a spin at Descida do Lago earlier in the lap, cost the Hungarian heaps of time, but if he had stayed out with the damage, the title could have been lost. Away from the title fight, Neg picked up his first series podium after a strong final weekend, while Brazil saw Ferrari achieve their first 1-2 of the season.Race Position History

The Qualifying Tapes
A Game of Milliseconds
Despite the looming threat of rain, it was the Ferraris who set the tempo in Interlagos, with Witvoet taking pole position from Bozga, with Erdelyi best of the Mustangs in third. Dani Neo lined up fourth ahead of Gregory Hovesen and Alexander Paulick, with Ryan Woodrow and Konrad Kula rounding off the top eight. But there was more drama as the third driver in the title, Youp de Vos, failed to qualify, ending the Belgian’s slim title hopes.
